Mui came to us with a very special project she had in mind as a wedding anniversary gift for her parents. 

Here's the story of the painting in her own words:

"I commissioned Hayward Gaude Fine Portraits to restore my parents’ 60 year old wedding picture. It was the only picture my parents had and the picture was falling apart.

I wanted to present the legacy painting to my parents at their 60th wedding anniversary celebration. I could not be happier with the results. Hayward exceeded my expectations in so many ways: the vibrant colors, the attention to details and the final painting made for such a special gift to my parents to showcase their lifelong love.

Before working on the portrait, Hayward and Shannon scheduled a consultation to discuss the details of the picture, the color & type of the flowers in my mom’s wedding bouquet, the color of my dad’s tie and boutonniere, the background color, etc. Hayward and Shannon researched the types of flowers and greenery native to the country where they married so they could include them in the portrait. It was not simply restoring it to black and white, but creating a memory of what their wedding day was had there been color photo during that time.

Both my parents were deeply touched by the gift. The painting hangs proudly in their living room and has garnered many compliments from family and friends. But most importantly, everyday that my parents see the painting it always brings a smile to their faces. I highly recommend Hayward Studios without hesitation if you want quality work!!
