If your child has gone to college, you may have already spent over 90% of the time with them in person, that you ever will.
Do you find that shocking? I sure as heck did the first time I read this article.
Now, I have no idea how scientific this article is, but somehow, having grown children, this really doesn't feel that far off in a general sense.
One thing I have noticed is that as families grow they tend to separate more than they tend to come together. We see this in our business in the form of how much of a struggle it is for families to have portraits made of their extended families; i.e. their children's families or their siblings.
Way down at the end of the article is this gem: "If you’re in your last 10% of time with someone you love, keep that fact in the front of your mind when you’re with them and treat that time as what it actually is: precious."
That is exactly why we do what we do, because the story of your relationships deserves to be preserved.
